(Alabama) Westbrook, age 82, of Portland, Sumner, TN,
passed away at his residence, September 8, 2009. He was born in
Piedmont, Calhoun, AL, July 4, 1927. He is the son of Robert Oscar
and Maude (Smart) Westbrook. He was married 56 years to Margaret
(Livingston) Westbrook. He was a painter. He is survived by his
daughter, Jan Ragan of Portland, TN; son, Anthony E. (Mary
Margaret) Westbrook of Smyrna, TN; sister, Lois Taylor of Centre,
AL; 3 grandchildren; 3 step-grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren;
his constant, faithful companion, his dog, Jackson. Visitation is
3:00 - 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 9, 2009, at Portland
Funeral Chapel, and he will lie in state, 10:00 a.m., Thursday,
September 10, 2009, at Portland Church of God of Prophecy.

her residence Wednesday, September 9, 2009. She was born in
Indianapolis, IND. , February 3, 1969. She is survived by her

(Bruce) of Portland; daughter, Stevie M. (David) Summer of Japan ;
son, Christopher D. (Brittany) Whitson of Virginia Beach, Va.;

75, of Portland, TN, passed away Saturday, November 21, 2009, at
Sumner Regional Medical Center, Gallatin, Sumner, TN. She was born
October 8, 1934 in Portland, Sumner, TN. She was the daughter of
Marion F. Rogers, deceased, and Alma Lee (Eden) Rogers. She is
survived by her mother, Alma Rogers of Portland, TN; daughters,
Donna (Larry) Hesson, Kathy (Phillip) McCloud, both of
Portland, TN; son, Ricky (Teresa) Young of Portland, TN;
sisters, Edna (Jimmy) Bradley, Hazel Grant, both of Portland, TN;
bothers, Charles (Willie) Rogers, Richard (Margie) Rogers, Victor
(Francis) Rogers, Ralph (Eva) Rogers, all of Portland, TN, Leon
(Nancy) Rogers of Gallatin, TN; 9 grandchildren; 15
great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband,
Edward M. Young; daughter Joetta Thornton, brothers, William and
J.C. Rogers. Visitations are 5:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Saturday,
November 21, 2009, Sunday, 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., November 22,
2009, and Monday, November 23, 2009 from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.,

Edward Cline, age 36, of Portland, passed away
Thursday, October 22, 2009, at Vanderbilt Medical Center in
Nashville. He is survived by his wife, Reneé
(Cochran) Cline of Portland; parents, Ollian (Bud) and Chloe Cline
of Morganfield, Ky.; daughters, Kaci Roberts of Portland, Katie
Cline of Charlotte, Tenn., and Shay Williamson of Portland; sons,
Will Butler of Nashville, and Devan Cline of Charlotte, Tenn.;
sister, Diane Poe of Speedway, Ind. Visitation is 3 p.m., until 8
p.m., Saturday, October 24, 2009, and 3 p.m., until 8 p.m.,
Sunday. Additional visitation is 11 a.m., until 1 p.m., at the
church.
Funeral service is 1 p.m., Monday, October 26, 2009, from the
First Baptist Church of Portland with Bro. Greg McCoy and Bro.
Sam Belo officiating. Interment is at Old Brush Cemetery. Mr.
Cline was a firefighter in Franklin, Tenn.
